Terramar Interiors is a full-service interior design studio based in San Diego, California, specializing in fresh, modern and layered spaces.

Originally hailing from Boston, founder and principal designer Katie Smith earned her BFA in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She went on to spend her formative design years working at award-winning firms on both the East and West Coast. With over a decade of experience, Katie’s wide-ranging background has helped define her unique approach to design and project management. As a certified Interior Designer with a deep understanding of the industry, she is able to offer creative solutions to any design challenge you may be faced with, and will ultimately reduce the costs and stresses involved with the construction process. Through our collaborative and transparent process, we will work with you and your builder or contractor to create a space that compliments your budget, functional needs and lifestyle.

Katie lives in San Diego with her husband, son, and their bulldog, Winston. When she isn’t designing, you can find her out hiking, camping, or scouring the local flea markets for one-of-a-kind treasures.
